balan: AN INTRODUCTION I’d like to introduce myself, S RAJ Balan, a musician, teacher and author who’s been in the field of music for the last 30 years. Music is something that I encountered at a young age and decided to pursue it. Completing certified courses from Trinity College of Music, London, my forte therein has been World music which also includes western classical music. With god’s blessing and my love for music, I have been able to play other instruments like the accordion, Piano, guitar and the sitar. But my specialization to teach and perform would be the Piano/Keyboard and the Guitar. Apart from teaching I have been actively involved in producing music books, authored by me for the last 15 years. I was also playing at the 5* Hotels for 12 years as a pianist, which suffices the reason for the expansive knowledge in music.
